This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on SailTrack’s website and our apps for Mac OS, iOS and any other devices and platforms.
Information we collect
We do not offer the option to create an account on our website, nor any other way of recording or tracking your personal information. If you purchase one of our products from the Mac OS or iOS App store, we do not receive any personal information about you, apart from the country from which the app was purchased. If you contact us by email, your email address and any other information you have chosen to submit via email is treated as completely confidential and in accordance with all relevant national and international laws.
Some of our apps may offer the ability to receive notifications (for example about updated charts or navigational hazards). If a user agrees to receive notifications for an app, then we store a device ID which allows us to send notifications to that device. It cannot be linked to any personal information.
Some of our apps include the ability to purchase an auto-renewable subscription. We store the minimum amount of information required to support this function, including a unique number associated with a purchase. This cannot be linked to a user without the invoice number, which only the user receives (and could be provided to us by the user in order to assist with a support issue).
Twitter and Facebook
We do not have (and never will have) any accounts on Twitter or Facebook, or dealings of any sort with these or similar social media companies.
Ads and analytics
SailTrack apps and website collect no aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, for any purpose whatsoever.
We do not share personal information with outside parties in any form, and this will not change in the future. This website does not use any external or internal analytic software.
Third-party links and content
SailTrack displays links to some third-parties on our website. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.
